As School Council members of Nouvel, our responsibility is to support the school mission.  In partnership with the administration, we help ensure continued excellence of the best growth opportunities for Nouvel students as well as review financial accountability of the school.

The NCC School Council role is as follows:

• To provide advice and counsel to the Saginaw Area Catholic Schools director, principal, pastor and/or chaplain in the formulation and execution of school policies.

• To ensure that all policies, goals and plans are consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Faith and the mission and vision of the school.

• To ensure consistent implementation of student and faculty/staff policies and conduct guidelines.

• To ensure that the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's strategic and business plans are consistent with the Catholic Faith and the mission and vision statements.

• To ensure that all activities of the groups associated with Nouvel are consistent with the Catholic Faith and its teaching, and the mission and vision statements.

• To review and approve the annual budget and approve capital expenditures of $5,000 and greater.
