Cadet Teaching Program
The Cadet
Teaching Program provides a wonderful opportunity for both the students of
Nouvel and the Catholic Elementary Schools of Saginaw. For the
students, it helps to teach the basics of becoming a teacher and to have the
same advanced outlook on what it is like to be in education.
For the school
itself, this program provides a teacher with the chance to have a slight
break from the tedious work of grading, sorting, cutting, gluing and many
other projects that have to be done. The teacher can assign the student
certain projects and the student will perform the task to the best of their
ability. The student comes to the school four days out of the week for more
than an hour and a half.
One of the most
important things about this program is that the younger students get the
opportunity to interact with an older student that they know that they can
trust and come to for help without being intimidated.
